The Port is highly industrialized with modern facilities and equipment that can stand the test of time. There is also adequate land available for development to all customers and prospective investors who desire to partner with the Port in the Maritime Business. The Port covers an area of 2, Onne Port has one of the biggest harbour mobile cranes in Africa Liebherr with a lifting capacity of metric tons and Gmk grove twin cranes that has capacity of lifting single heavy cargo of tons owned by one of the Terminal Operators in the Port.
The Port is on security level one 1 creating a safe, secure and customer friendly environment for everyone doing business here. The terminal is fully equipped with a fleet of modern container handling equipment and the cost of doing business in WACT is highly competitive and customer friendly. WACT also handle containers less than 20ft and above 40ft. WACT-Onne is expanding the container terminal to cater for increases in container traffic.
This expansion will also create capacity for RORO vessels but similarly general cargo breakbulk and bulk is equally catered for. Size of terminal is presently 25 hectares and will increase to 33 hectares at the completion of expansion. The terminal consists of a quayside of metres in length making it possible for up to two ships to berth and work cargo at once.
