This website is not affiliated with or sponsored by Technics. Hello, I found that web so interesting because Im having problems with my turntable, R channel does not send any sound, any idea from where I could begin to fix that? Our Mk I has provided my wife and I with a few years of quality sound.
However, recently, it's started to make an awful buzzing sound. The sound was slight for a while, but gradually increased and now is drowning out the music. Anybody know what could be causing this? I can't stress enough that fixing the broken cue is a very difficult operation. If you move the adjustment screws on the optical sensor, the auto return will no longer work. Fixing the broken cue part with superglue typically is only a temporary solution.
The cue can be fixed in the US for foreign customers by just shipping the tonearm unit instead of the whole turntable. US customers have to send the whole turntable in because there are other repairs and adjustments to make the machine work like new.
Hi all, I was told that the MKII version of this deck couldn't be fixed easily without shipping it overseas I pulled it apart myself, and using the service manual here, was able to locate the part, and superglue it back together. I haven't had any problems, and i've been using it for about a year I've tried everything but going inside. Tightening and loosening the different accessible screws.
I don't know why. I'm sure there are repair shops in Chicago but would prefer to send it to someone who specializes in turntables and specifically with Technics turntables, especially when considering upgrades. I am familiar with your website but didn't know if you handled anything other than the 's. I will review of he process for sending equipment on your website but let me know if there is anything else I should know before shipping.
I have the original box and packing material but will also double box to be safe. Thanks for your response!
The number one reason for this problem on the SL is dirty speed controls. Never use any other type of oil. To lubricate, remove the turntable platter and apply about 2 drops of oil into the oil hole. It is sufficient to lubricate the set once after approximately 2, hours of use. This period is much longer than has been necessary on previous. Do not apply too much oil. I Connect the pickup cords from the arm panel to the output terminals. Adjust the height and level of the player system by turning the legs.
Connect the pickup cords provided in this set to the player output terminals and connect the same channel to the amplifier. There is no vibration because this motor has no high-speed rotation mechanism. The rumble is extremely low. Since there is no electromagnetic hum.
And, because the motor includes an electronic commutator, starting is perfectly accurate, There is. This is a feature which is not found in players which have speed reduction and transmissions devices such as a belt or idler.
If such stopping is attempted on ordinary players. In this player system. There is. And, because a DC-stabilizer is used. The motor rotates the turntable platter directly.
